Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a Greek-American author, syndicated writer of columns and a businesswoman. She's written 15 books and is the cofounder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington has worked as a journalist, TV personality as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than ten years. She also is the founder of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England with her family at age 16. While at Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. As the first foreign student to be elected president of the highly regarded debating group The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take over the position. Then she became a conservative syndicated writer after her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a few years following, she launched an online voice platform with a critique of current political scenarios. Arianna was able to attract numerous prominent contributors to post their views about politics and culture. Arianna gained fame after she made the decision in 2003 to run as an Independent Candidate for the California Recall Election to replace the Governor Davis. In addition, she directed an Detroit initiative to encourage the use of fuel-efficient cars. Forbes declared her to be the "most important women" in media, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most important media figures in 2009. In 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media group which included many at the time-current AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and manager Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. While she enjoyed a strong friendship with her mother and father but it was their connection which shaped her. At a young age, she displayed her leadership skills for which she's still known. As a 16-year-old the girl moved to the United Kingdom for her higher education. In Girton College Cambridge. As a student she was a member of the Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college where she eventually became its first foreign female president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master's in Economics. She was a journalist as well as a host on TV as well as a columnist following her graduation. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own books with his help.
